San Diego: Greater North Park

North Park is located north and east of Balboa Park, bounded on the east by I-805 and the north by the edge of the mesa overlooking Mission Valley. It includes a mix of single family homes built mostly before World War II and multifamily homes primarily built since the 1970s. It's two primary east-west transportation corridors, El Cajon Boulevard and University Avenue are lined with commercial land uses, with mixed used development occurring in recent years. The area is served by frequent transit service including one rabid bus line.
