San Diego: Greater Golden Hill

Golden Hill is an urbanized community consisting of approximately 441 acres, located east of Downtown San Diego. The area is bounded by Juniper Street to the north, 34th Street Canyon to the east, State Route 94 to the south and Interstate 5 to the west. The community wraps around Balboa Park with interfaces to the north and west. The area houses a wide variety of income levels and ethnic groups. The southwestern and western ends are characterized by a diverse built environment, while the northeastern section retains most of the community's early housing.
