City of Coronado

Incorporated in 1890, the City of Coronado is surrounded by the San Diego Bay and the Pacific Ocean. North Island Naval Air Base is the most significant employer. The city has two elementary schools, one middle school and two high schools, along with a few specialized and unconventional schools. The city is serviced by two public MTS bus routes. The city contains various public parks, as well as the Coronado Municipal Golf Course.
